Artist's Comments

A pic from a shoot I did with ~8-13 showing off their commissionable coats (in an up-hood design) and their painting services.
The wooden keyblades were made by another cosplayer (Jess) and then painted by ~U-E by hand.

Shot at ColossalCon, just outside the petting zoo. It was pitch dark out, so these were lit with two flashes set to either side of Saeru, reflecting off the metal wall. You can get an idea of the available light/where the flashes were hitting here: [link]

I'm behind the camera, not in the costume.

The flash is slightly distracting at first but is overshadowed by the great composition and lighting. Really brings out the colors. Great job. You did very well making lemonade out of lemons with it being pitch black.

great shot to show off the coats. I actually made my own using Saeru's directions, but this just shows how bomb these coats are when done exactly how they should be. Totally great. Dynamic pose, and the keyblades and coat look really awesome. ^_^

That is a really awesome shot. I love the scenery and the lighting. It really gives it a great effect and makes it look like it's striaght out of the game. Awesome!

Thanks! The point was to show off the coats and keyblades, so getting an interesting shot considering our location was tricky. I'm really glad we found this wall. XD
Saeru's coats are seriously awesome. I want one.

Oh god, I'd have rather shot anywhere but there- problem being we needed something that would fit in game, and we were at an African Lion Safari themed resort. X_X
Thanks for the crit! I'm pretty happy with the pic (though there's always the dozen things you'd go back and fix if you could.)

Oh always. I'm always nitpicky when I look at my pictures(I should have lit from this side. I should have set the angle here.). Don't have much say in what the subject is doing as most of my shots are taken live. Promo shots are a slightly different story. But, sadly that is how all good artists are. Picking apart their own work constantly. Keep up the good shots.
