I love hats~

Inspired by the revival of Alice-themed merch, I found this fabric in my collection of odds and ends and HAD to make it a mad hatter.

This miniature top hat (Wellington or Mad Hatter style) was made from scratch. It measures roughly 4.5 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide. It utilizes a heavy, buckram-like interfacing for the frame, and is wired both along the crown and brim, for strength and ease of curving/shaping.

The hat is covered with an awesome woven green/blue/brown mix in very soft fiber that's so much fun to touch.

The hatband is bronze silk accented with a single hand picked peacock feather and hand curled decorative wire, and a small hand-rolled fabric rosette. The opposite side has a bronze 10/6 card tucked into the hatband that's removable if you don't want to advertise your madness.

The hat comes with a comb sewn in to help hold it to your head at a jaunty angle. I also do barettes or elastic on request.
